Live Music at Bar Nine: Vern Matz | 8:30PM

We got Vern Matz with us on the Bar Nine stage tonight!

Vern Matz provides indie tunes for your autumn blues. Formed by a group of wide-eyed Yale students, Vern Matz blurs the lines between rock, folk and alternative music. Their sound showcases an earnest approach to songwriting and mature musicianship, echoing the work of seminal artists such as Wilco or The National, to mention a few. The band is named after a deceased amateur-league bowler."

The lead singer is Danny Belgrad, who, while from Los Angeles, only roots for the Chicago Cubs. In order to get into college, he lived in a 19th century log cabin for thirty days without electricity. The experience was terrible but he got into Yale. #themoreyouknow

Michael Lituchy, piano and vocals, is from New Jersey. His Facebook profile lists him as Single.

Noah Silvestry plays drums and studies architecture. Noah has never drank any liquid besides Cran-raspberry La Croix. His major is somewhat employable.

Join us tonight for good drinks, good music, and good times. Showtime is 8:30PM at the only place in Hell's Kitchen where you can hear good, live music on any given day of the week!
